Mia nervously tapped her fingertips on the table. She had always been a perfectionist and often doubted her abilities, despite the compliments from friends and colleagues. She never took such praise seriously. And when Sophie sent her a message asking her to take on the club’s design, she felt insecure again.

— Hi, Mia! – Sophie smiled, approaching her. — I hope you’re free, because a country club really needs a cool designer! My friend wants to make the most beautiful stables there.
— Oh, I’ve never worked on projects like this… — Mia sighed. — I don’t know if I can handle it. Although, maybe I’ll be able to show it at the alumni meeting…
— Why not? Your projects are incredible, everyone will be delighted!
…If only it were that simple… — thought Mia, but out loud she only answered: “If you say so… I’ll take care of the stables. I hope I’ll make something worthwhile out of it.”

With such an attitude, Sophie was not going to let Mia go. She invited Alice to support her friend.

The club looked terrible.

— We don’t need a designer here, we need builders, — mumbled Sophie, taken aback.
— Look at the bright side, — Alice objected. — There is great freedom for creativity here!

Mia just chuckled. She looked at the ruined walls and imagined how she could transform this space. She felt ideas being born in her head and her heart began to beat faster.

She set to work with determination. Along the way, she discussed with others what elements to add to create something special. But as soon as she tore herself away from the project and returned to reality, the uncertainty returned:

— Alice, help! My projects are so weak, only a great PR person can save them.
— Mia, what’s wrong? You’re a great designer, your projects are on all the architectural websites!

But Mia was always skeptical about her work. Websites! They take everything, the main thing for them is new content.

However, step by step, uncertainty gave way to a new feeling. Excitement!

Detail by detail, the transformation of the stables turned into an exciting process. Mia felt her ideas coming to life, her plans coming to life — every stroke added self-confidence.

Alice and Sophie were constantly nearby, sharing their thoughts and emotions.

And soon the day came.

When Mia returned to the club, she didn’t recognize it: the old walls were brightly painted, new flower arrangements were pleasing to the eye, and comfortable lounge areas invited to sit down and relax. Her efforts were not in vain.

Sophie arrived before everyone else and looked around with enthusiasm:

— Mia, you did great! Just a couple of changes and the ruins are so much transformed!
— Oh, well, they’re not such ruins…, Mia responded, still a little hesitant.

Then Tina and Nina, her friends from Design Academy, arrived. And they couldn’t contain their admiration:

— Mia, this is just delight! We’ve never had such a beautiful reunion, thank you very much!

Mia felt like she had finally reached her true potential.

Sophie appeared next to her and whispered:

— Mia, you are a great designer. And your classmates unanimously say the same. Maybe it’s time to calm down?

Mia smiled. She was ready for the reunion.
