City Fair is a four-day event for players level 45 and above that you open from the icon on the right side of the screen. You walk around your city and click citizens with a “?” above their heads to accept easy, one-by-one tasks. Finishing tasks gives special coins you use to claim prizes, and after enough completions you unlock timed bonus tasks that pay more. If you reject a task, a new one arrives after a three-hour wait (you can pay to skip the wait). An optional Golden Gift adds an extra row of rewards, and a main building is usually featured among the prizes. After you collect ten coins, you appear in the individual rating, where the top places receive additional rewards.
Glossary
- “?” citizen (task giver): A citizen with a question mark above their head; click them to open a task window where you can accept the task or reject it.
- Accept / Reject (task choice): Press OK to start the task; if you reject it, a three-hour wait begins before a new task appears (you can skip the wait for superbucks).
- Special coins: The event currency you earn for completing tasks; your growing coin total lets you claim rewards during the activity.
- Quests tab: The main tab that shows which citizens need help and how many coins each task pays; regular tasks have no timer, and a new “?” citizen appears after you finish one.
- Bonus tasks: Harder, timed tasks that unlock after you complete enough regular tasks; they pay increased coins, cannot be rejected while the timer is running, and if time runs out you can either reject them then or finish for superbucks.
- Rewards tab: The place where you see your coin total and claim prizes as you progress; buying the Gold Gift Key unlocks the Golden Gift, which adds an extra set of rewards.
- Main reward (building): A featured building usually shown for the current run of the event and claimed from the Rewards tab once you meet the requirement.
- Ratings tab (individual rating): The leaderboard for this event; you need 10 special coins to enter, and top places receive prizes shown in-game (values may vary by run).
- Three-hour wait (cooldown after rejection): The delay that starts when you reject a task; during this time you will not receive a new task from citizens unless you skip the wait for superbucks.
Requirements & access
This event becomes available when you reach level 45. It runs for four days, giving you enough time to play at a comfortable pace without rushing. To open it, look at the right side of your main game screen, find the City Fair icon in the menu, and click it; the event window will appear and show you everything you need to begin.
Starting the event: step-by-step guide
Find citizens with a “?” above their heads and click them to open a task.
To start the task, press the OK button. If you do not want this task, press the red Reject button instead. When you reject a task, a three-hour waiting period begins, and a new task will not appear until this time has passed. If you prefer not to wait, you can skip the three-hour timer using superbucks and receive a new task immediately.
Each time you finish a task, you receive special coins that are added to your total. As this total grows, more prizes on the Rewards tab become available, so the more tasks you complete, the more rewards you can claim during the event.
Tabs you’ll use
Quests tab
This tab shows which citizens currently need help and how many special coins each of their tasks will give you as a reward. Regular tasks do not have a timer, so you can complete them at your own pace; tap the blue button to open a task, and after you finish it a new citizen with a “?” will appear so you can keep going.
After you complete enough regular tasks, bonus tasks unlock; these have a visible timer and offer increased coin rewards, so it is a good idea to take them when you are ready to play without interruptions.
You cannot reject a bonus task while its timer is running. If the time runs out, you can either reject the task at that moment or finish it for superbucks.
A bonus task looks like a task window with a visible countdown timer and a higher coin reward than regular tasks.
Rewards tab
On the Rewards tab, you can see how many special coins you have collected and which prizes are available. When your coin total reaches the amount shown under a prize, press the Claim button to receive it.
If you purchase the Gold Gift Key, the Golden Gift opens and adds a second row of extra rewards. These extra rewards are collected in exactly the same way: once you have enough coins for a prize, press Claim and it will be added to your account.
The event usually features a main reward that is a special building for your city. Its appearance and benefits can vary from one run to the next, so when you reach this prize, open the building’s card to see its picture, size, and daily bonuses before placing it where it suits your layout.
Ratings tab
To appear in the individual ranking, you first need to collect 10 special coins; once you reach this number, your personal score is added to the leaderboard. At the end of the event, the highest-placed players receive extra prizes—the prize brackets are shown in the Ratings tab in the game, and the exact amounts can change from one run to the next.
