Today I’m excited to share what we’ve been building over the past few months.I’m thrilled to introduce our new limited-time event, the Atelier of Aromas, and a new long-term activity, Exciting Puzzles.
Why we made this
We wanted to bring you the feel of “honest alchemy”: rewards you can see upfront and choices that are truly yours. You decide what to take now, what to upgrade, and when to push your luck for something bigger. Transparency and control over your progress were our guiding stars for this event.
Atelier of Aromas: intentional choices
With the help of the Genie—the most mysterious character in SuperCity—you’ll craft perfumes and earn rewards.
In front of you is a board with bottles filled with colorful essences. Every bottle already contains a reward, and you can see them all from the start. The color hints at its value; you choose what to do next.
You’ll have three types of reagents:
- a drop of solvent to claim the reward inside the bottle,
- a pinch of catalyst to transform the reward into something rarer,
- a ×2 bonus to double the reward in that bottle.
Any of these actions—claiming, upgrading, or doubling—pushes you along the path to the grand prize: a new unique city sight.
Pick the playstyle that suits you best: grab-and-go, risk-and-upgrade, or hunt for doubles—the choice is all yours.
Along the way, you’ll also collect useful milestones. The most notable among them are puzzle pieces.
Exciting Puzzles: the slow magic of a collection
Those puzzle pieces from the Atelier come to life in our second new feature—Exciting Puzzles.
Spend pieces to reveal an artwork; complete the image to earn another unique city sight. It’s a journey toward a beautiful, long-term goal—one you’ll want to revisit.
Upgrading the main rewards—in both features
You can not only obtain the main rewards—you can upgrade them, just like in our Expeditions. With each level, your new city sight:
- yields more seasonal currency (including glass baubles),
- starts granting useful items and Chefcoins,
- and lets you collect income more frequently.
We aimed to make upgrades feel fair and tangible—you’ll literally see your building’s value grow as your progress builds in both the Atelier and the Puzzles.
